A Voice of An Angel – Never give up hope

I was walking alone in the desert of the wilderness,

I had tasted nothing in this life but only bitterness,

My hope was depleting, and my dying heart was filled with nothing but sorrow,

I didn’t think, for me, there would be any beautiful tomorrow,

I was lost and the last one to abandon me was my own shadow,

However, I kept on walking because I had no other choice,

I was running out of hope, and just when I was going to give up, I heard her voice,

I looked around, but there was no one,

“I’m here with you!”, said the voice in a tranquil tone,

The voice continued, “Please keep on walking. Don’t give up now. I’m here with you, you’re not alone!”,

So, I kept on walking and felt my tattered heart was re-sewn,

The voice said again, “Don’t stop, we’re almost there, we’re almost done!”,

And just from some distance, I saw one big, green tree, and also heard the gurgling sound of water flowing,

As I got near the tree, I found there was a river, and in it, I saw my own reflection glowing,

I plucked an apple from the tree, and for the first time in my life, I tasted sweetness, it was really awesome and absolutely mind-blowing,

The voice said again, “My son! Remember, even if it gets hell-like tough, don’t you ever stop, don’t ever give up hope, just always keep going!”,

I looked around, but there was still no one, then I looked down in the river, and saw the reflection of my smile quietly floating…….
