Feel younger, and look younger.
Imagine if we could all be twenty-year-olds for life. Would that not be awesome? However, this life is not meant to be like that. The Creator of the Universe has sent all of us on this planet earth on a journey to understand and experience His universe in our own ways and eventually become one with it. You can call it salvation or nirvana, or whatever you see fit.
Our journey begins with babyhood. As our mental capacity and physicality develop, we enter childhood. And then, what follows is adulthood — youthfulness. Youthfulness is the time of our life when we have the highest physical energy. This is the time of our life when we are most active and carefree. Then, we begin to age further and reach middle age. Middle age is the time in our lives when most of us start to understand and take responsibility for our life.
Then in no time, we reach the state of oldhood. Oldhood is the time of our life when we have already been through so much on this journey of life. We have experienced so many ups and downs. We have so much of good and bad experiences in life at this final stage. This is the time when we look back and assess how we did with the time given to us here on earth.
If we have lived our life with wisdom and passion, we realize we have less or nothing to regret in life. We are at peace. And in a way, we have served the purpose of this human life. If we have lived life carelessly and without wisdom and passion, we realize that we are about to waste our precious gift of life.
These are the stages every human life goes through here on planet earth. Whether you are young or elderly, or middle-aged, if you are ready to bring that desired change in your life right now, you can still do that. You can’t change your age or age backward, but you certainly can improve your appearance if you start taking care of certain things in your life and remain consistent in doing that for the rest of your life.
If you do these certain things, you’ll begin to look younger. You’ll also start to feel young in your heart, and this will reflect on your face and in your body language. So, what are these certain things you need to take care of to maintain or bring back your youthfulness, at least some percentage of it, if not 100%? To find out, please continue to read on:
Start watching your thoughts.
Everyone knows this, but not everyone follows this — that everything starts in your mind. You become what you think. If you think negative or depressing thoughts at all times, you become a negative and depressed person. It saps your energy, and you start to look older than your actual age.

On the contrary, if you think and continue to think positive thoughts, no matter the circumstances, you are always excited to better your life in whichever way possible and available to you. So, this positivity and excitement help you keep active and energetic no matter how old you are. You’ll realize this when you consistently focus on your mind’s positive side. You’ll notice that you appear to be younger than your actual age. Now, isn’t this a cool thing? Start watching what you eat.
You become what you eat. I say this in my every write-up. If you eat healthily, you feel healthy and look healthy. However, if you continue to eat deep-fried junk and sugary food, you become lethargic and less active, which may result in excess weight gain. When you become overweight, your appearance changes, and you start to look older than your actual age, no matter what stage of life you are at.
So, you must follow a healthy diet daily, with no or minimal consumption of deep-fried, junk, and sugary food. Initially, it will be hard to follow a healthy diet if you have never tried it before. But gradually through dedication and determination, you’ll gain control over your cravings for junk and sweet food.
Also, avoid canned and packaged food. Try to include fresh fruits and vegetables in your daily diet with other foods like oats, rice, lentils, curd, etc. Strictly avoid the consumption of alcoholic beverages and find a way to give up smoking. Also, avoid or reduce eating red meat regularly. Red meat is very high in saturated fat, which is proven to be bad for your heart and overall health.

Once you get your eating habits improved, you’ll see that your health is improving, which will result in an exuberance of energy in you, which in turn, will improve your physical appearance and the texture of your skin, making you look younger. Try this and see it for yourself. Remember, you become what you eat.
Start keeping active.
To make your body feel young, it’s very important to keep it active at all times. Do you remember when we were kids or teens, we used to play sports and run and do all kinds of physical activities? Back then, our purpose was never to keep active or look young, we would do all that just for fun because we loved doing that.
Now, if you are in your 30s or 40s, 60s, or even in your 80s, you cannot exactly go back to being how you were when you were a kid or a teen, but you can still find many other simple ways to keep active daily. You can start training at the gym five times a week for 1 hour daily. If you cannot go to the gym, simply take a leisurely but slightly brisk walk outside or in the park daily for 1 hour.
Also, keep active in the house by cleaning your room and cooking for yourself. Do your house chores yourself daily but slowly. Do not let it put a strain on your body if you are of elderly age. Slowly and steadily but consistently find ways to keep active and remain mobile throughout the day.

When you remain active, you become zealous. This zeal is reflected in your body language and on your face, and you begin to appear younger than your actual age. You’ll see that for yourself once you start doing this.
Define a goal for your life.
No matter what stage of life you are at, it is always nice to have some goal or purpose for your life. When you are in your 20s, 30s, or 40s, you have many big goals for your life. Make sure to chase your goals down by taking care of your health. And if you are in your 50s, 60s, 70s, or 80s, you still have so much wisdom and knowledge to share with the world. All the knowledge and wisdom you have acquired in life can help the following generations in many ways to enhance their standard of living.
So, have some goals even when you have aged in life. When you start living your day with goals on your to-do list, you remain excited about life. And when you are excited to achieve your goals, you become mentally and physically enthusiastic, which shows on your face, and you begin to look younger.
Be grateful for what you have and reduce stress.
Whatever stage of life you are at, what is done has been done. Whatever good or bad decisions you ended up making are past you now. There is no point in stressing over what has been done, nor is there any point in worrying over your future. Worrying is not going to shape your future. Instead, if you follow all of the aforementioned things consistently and with determination, your present situation will improve, and your confidence will improve too. And when there is a mental and physical improvement in you, you’ll see that you appear fresh, energetic, and young, no matter how old you are.
It is essential to reduce the stress in your life. Stress can age you faster than the actual aging process. To reduce stress, live in the present and do the best you can in it. If you make the best out of your present, it will shape a better future for you. Also, be grateful for all the tiny and big things you have had in your life. If you look around, you’ll notice not everyone in the world has that luxury. You can also try yoga and meditation to keep your stress in check. Sleep well at night.
It is very important to sleep soundly at night. Even if you sleep for 6 hours at night but you sleep soundly, you’ll wake up fresh every morning. When you keep your body active throughout the day, you’ll be able to sleep well at night. Good sleep will also help improve your skin. You’ll be able to get rid of puffy eyes and puffy face when you sleep well at night regularly. Good sleep also fills your mind with positivity and your body with energy to get you through your day peacefully. So, always try to sleep at night early at a fixed time, and wake up fresh in the morning before the sun comes up.
Drink enough water.
Drink lots of water each day. Avoid drinking cold water and canned cold drinks. Just drink 3-4 liters of normal-temperature, pure water daily. And whenever you drink water, sit quietly in some place and then drink it sipping slowly. Water is a natural health drink. When you drink lots of water, you also pass the water, and when you do this, unwanted toxins are expelled from the body through the urine. Drinking enough water daily also improves your digestion. It also improves the texture of your skin.
Massage your face daily.
Massage your face daily with natural or herbal oil such as argan, jojoba, or almond oil. Take a few drops of oil, and massage your face and neck slowly in a circular motion with your fingertips. Make sure to protect your eyes while you do this oil face massage. Also, massage your legs and hands with that oil. Face massage will rejuvenate your facial muscles. The hand and leg massage will strengthen your muscles.
Use only pure herbal oil. Don’t forget to check the ingredients on its package. It should be chemical-free and natural. You can also use rose water to clean your face before the massage. You can also look for some natural anti-aging or anti-wrinkle creams. You’ll find these oils and creams on Amazon. Make sure to check the ingredients on its package before buying any.

Here are some of the products I ordered from Amazon that have helped me improve and maintain my facial glow:
1. Spruce Charcoal Cream Peel-Off Mask.
How to apply?
I use this two times a week. Squeeze out the required quantity on your palm and then apply it with the fingertips of another hand to your nose, the areas around your nose, and the forehead. You don’t need to rub or massage it. Just apply a thick layer of it to those areas of your face.
Make sure to do it slowly, and protect your eyes at all times. Don’t let it get in your eyes. If it goes in your eyes by mistake, rinse your eyes immediately but slowly. Don’t splash water in your eyes. Just make a cup of your hand and then take some water from the tap and simply dip your eyes in that water. Do this a few times over until the irritation cools off. If the irritation persists, immediately go and see your doctor.
Leave it for 30 minutes on your face, and then peel it off slowly. Wash your face with normal tap water and then towel-dry it. You’ll see your face glowing. Now you can apply a moisturizer to moisten your face, as it may feel dry after the application of this charcoal mask. If you are a male, then make sure to apply this only on a clean-shaven face, as it may irritate your bearded skin.
2. UrbanBotanics Oil-Free Neem & Basil Moisturizer For Face.
How to apply?
I apply this twice a week every time I use the charcoal peel-off mask. After the application of the charcoal peel-off mask and washing my face after that, I apply this moisturizer to my face.
Take the required quantity on your palm and then apply it with the fingertips of another hand, slowly massaging your face with it. Leave it on for at least one hour, and then you can wash your face again with a face wash. Always remember to protect your eyes, so always apply all these products slowly and carefully to your face.
3. Lakme Blush & Glow Strawberry Face Wash.
Squeeze out a small quantity on your palm and then close your eyes and rub it on your face and neck for 30-40 seconds, then wash your face with water and towel-dry your face.
4. Good Deeds Under Eye Cream For Dark Circles And Puffy Eyes.
I used this under-eye cream when I was working night shifts. I had deep dark circles and puffy eyes back then. This cream helped me reduce the dark circles and decrease the puffy eyes in a noticeable way.
Take the required quantity and apply it under your eyes cautiously and gently with your fingertips. You don’t need to rub, just apply a layer of it gently and go to sleep. Leave it on overnight. Strictly avoid rubbing your eyes after applying this cream. It’ll take some 7-10 days to see the visible improvement in your dark circles and puffy eyes.
Also, eat a healthy diet and get at least 6 hours of sleep daily. You can store this cream in a refrigerator and use it once daily before going to sleep. After you wake up, wash your face with normal tap water. Make sure to close your eyes while washing your face and clean the under-eye areas. And then towel-dry your face.
5. Johnson’s Cotton Touch Newborn Baby Cream.
I know it may sound crazy, but I prefer using this baby cream every time I’m going out in the sun. Take the required quantity and apply it all over your face and all the way down to your neck. This baby cream is light and gentle on your face.
6. Johnson and Johnson Baby Powder.
I use this Johnson Baby Powder whenever my face looks oily. Wash your face with normal tap water and then apply this powder to your face. Make sure to stay away from the fan while you apply this. Also, make sure it doesn’t go in your eyes or in your nose. I only use these two baby products–a baby cream, and powder as makeup whenever I shoot my YouTube videos.
7. Everyuth Naturals Walnut Scrub.
Use this walnut scrub anytime your face feels dull. It opens up your skin pores and helps you get rid of dirt and blackheads. I use it every time I shave, mostly thrice a week. Wet your face with normal tap water. Take a small pea-sized quantity on your fingertips and then rub it in circular motions on your nose and the areas around the nose under the eyes. Make sure to protect your eyes, don’t let it get inside your eyes.
8. UrbanBotanics Pure & Natural Rose Water.
This is 100% pure rose-distilled water. You can use it to clean your face before applying any other creams on your face. I use it mostly at night before applying an under-eye cream. Close your eyes, and spray this rose water all over your face. let it sit on the face for some 30 seconds. Wipe your face, eyelids, and eyelashes with a soft towel. And then, apply your under-eye cream or night cream. Rose water cleans the dirt on your face.
So, these are the products I use for my face. But again, all the other aforementioned factors matter a lot when it comes to looking younger and having that youthful glow on your face. Please follow all that I’ve mentioned in the top section of this article to have glowing skin.
