Are you feeling low right now? And do you feel like it’s killing you?

Well, it’s not a crime to feel low sometimes, and you are not the only one to feel this way. Read on, and you’ll know and find your strength again.
It’s supposed to be a winter afternoon here in this part of the world where I live, but it already feels like summer. I believe these drastic climate changes are foreboding signs for our human race’s survival and future existence. These climate changes are severe, life-altering consequences resulting from our reckless behaviors toward planet earth.
Please read my article on Climate Change, where I talk about it in great detail and what any ordinary human son or daughter like you and I can do to improve our Mother Earth’s health, which is essential for our own human race’s survival.
Now, let’s get back to this topic. Before I sat down to write this article, I was standing by my apartment’s window. As I looked out my living room window from my apartment on the fourth floor of this 18-story apartment building, I saw the day was as bright as it would be in summer, and the sun looked hot and blazing. Streets were busy with vehicles and bikers coming in and going out.
Some adults and children were bustling around on the streets and sidewalks, and some stray dogs were scouting for shaded places. Although I wanted to buy some cold drinks from the grocery store a few blocks away, I just didn’t feel like stepping out.
Today, at least, I’m feeling better; however, the past couple of weeks have been worse. I had not been feeling like doing anything. I didn’t even feel like standing by the window to look outside. I checked my weight on the digital weighing scale at home, and I’m in healthy shape. I’ve been eating well, around three meals a day.
There’s nothing wrong with my heart because I monitored my blood pressure at ten different times on my digital blood pressure monitor, and it showed to be normal each time. My pulse and breathing are normal, and I don’t have any sickness or mental stress. I work from home at my leisure, so I don’t have any work stress either.
Despite all the odds being in my favor — my health, the life of ease, happy relationships, and friendships with my dear ones, I had been feeling increasingly tired and low lately. I had been wanting to write so much, but I didn’t even feel like turning my laptop on. I thought about talking to some doctor online, but then, I didn’t want to take any medications or tablets yet.
Oh God! this low-energy feeling was killing me like hell.
“God! why am I feeling this? I sleep well, and my health is good. My life is good, and I have no stress, but why do I feel so low, and how do I overcome this feeling and get my strength back? I have so much to write. I have so many YouTube videos to make for my YouTube channels. And I love doing all this because this is my passion, yet I’m feeling so low. Oh God, please help me get my strength back!” All these thoughts were pounding in my head.
I was getting ultra-overwhelmed by this low-energy feeling. And then, I just decided to take it easy, and I’ve been doing some things daily for the past week that have improved my energy levels, and now I’m writing this article.
We all feel low at one time or another when we just don’t feel like doing anything at all, despite having good health, comfort, and easy life. I perfectly understand that this low-energy feeling is worse than any other feeling in the world because it can hold you captive for a long time. So, to tackle it, you must show great patience and faith in yourself. This is what I have learned while I’m still trying to deal with my feelings of low energy.
So, here are some things that I did to get my strength back gradually, which will help you to regain your strength if you are too feeling low right now:
1. Seek Professional Medical Help.
Check with a medical professional to rule out the possibility of any underlying health ailment or vitamin deficiencies. They may put you on some medication course or therapy if there’s anything worrisome about your health that may be causing you to feel low. Once that is ruled out, there are some things you can do to get your energy back and retain it for a long time.
The medications and treatments may help you to overcome low energy for a short while, but you need to plan for your long-term health. So, let’s move on to the remaining points of this article that will provide you with some guidance to regain and retain your energy and strength for a long time.
2. Take a step back from fast-moving life.
I decided to observe how I was feeling with a calm mindset. I accepted the fact that I was feeling low and couldn’t do anything about it for a while, so I did nothing. I took a step back and stopped bothering myself with where the world around me was going because what I was feeling, it was something only I could feel, not the world.
So stop for a while, and accept that you are feeling low right now, but it won’t last forever. Don’t worry about where the world is going or what your future holds for now, just take a step back and relax.
If it’s your job or line of work that causes you too much stress, save some money, cut down on your expenses, and get out of such work. I believe there is no sense in making a living where you don’t feel alive. After you get your strength back, find something you love or enjoy doing and turn it into your source of living. Of course, all this will take time and patience, but eventually, it will be worth it.
3. Rest as much as you need.
I slept and rested a lot. Even when I slept for 8-10 hours daily, I would still feel low, so I slept more. Even during my waking hours, I would laze out on my couch. And while I was lazing, I still had my smartphone and smart TV to browse movies, shows, and videos. So, I watched a lot of Netflix and movies. I also spent hours reading articles and blogs on Google while still lazing on the couch.
Rest as much as you need, and sleep a lot. Watch some movies or shows on your TV or smartphone. Read books or blogs or watch tutorials to hone your skills for the things you feel passionate about. You don’t have to get out of your bed to do all this, you can do all this even while relaxing. This will keep your brain engaged and excited. And trust me, this is where your strength recovery begins. Once your spirit begins to feel the energy again, your brain and your body begin to feel it too.
Take it easy and do everything at your own pace.
4. Go for Walks.
I started going out for walks. My girlfriend stays nearby my place, so I would go to see her every day, and surprisingly by some magic of love or something, only this time, whenever I was with her, I would feel energetic; other times, I would be so drooped. So I would spend a few hours with her. But every time I returned home, I would be so enervated and lack energy again.
I’ve been resting a lot in my body and mind, but I also keep my brain engaged by reading and learning new methods and tools of video editing. And I feel like I’m beginning to regain my strength, so I’ve started going for walks. I just go downstairs and walk without purpose. I take the stairs instead of the elevators when I return. I go grocery shopping and also continue to see my girlfriend. These leisurely walks have added more energy to me.
So, after you feel like you’ve rested enough, start going for walks daily. You can go for walks at any time of the day, but mornings and evenings are relaxing. Just take no-purpose walks daily. Make sure to walk for fun, not to tire yourself out.
I found cooking is another best way to relax. So, search for your favorite food recipe video on YouTube and start cooking, have fun with it. Cooking involves both your body (because you’re moving it at all times in the kitchen) and also your mind (because you think of innovative ways to make your recipe more delicious). You can try cooking, you don’t have to be a master chef and all.
5. Spend time grooming yourself.
After coming home from the walk, take a hot water shower or bath. Set your hair and do some facial exercises and makeup. Wear your favorite comfy clothes and relax.
I’ve been spending a lot of time on myself lately. I learned to trim my hair (obviously, I’m talking about my head hair. Wait! Did you think otherwise?). Well, go ahead, you can laugh at this, I’m just having fun.
So, I do some facial exercises. I try to work out at least three times a week. On the days when I don’t feel like working out, I clean my room. I dust every table, chair, and household item in my room. I sweep my room’s floor, and then I mop it. I cook for myself, mostly my favorite egg recipes. Fortunately, I live with my family consisting of my brother and his wife (my sister-in-law), who does delicious cooking for us daily, but whenever I want, I cook for myself.
So, these kinds of physical activities warm the body up, and when the body is warmed up, you will feel that warm energy flow throughout your mind and spirit too.
Now that you’ve rested enough, you can continue to rest more if you want, but also find some ways to keep your body active, such as by walking, house-cleaning, cooking, or light home exercises.
6. Overcome your addictions.
Muster the will and seek help to overcome your addictions, such as smoking or alcohol, or any food addiction, such as coffee or junk food, if you have any.
Fortunately, the Creator has given me such great control that I’ve never held a cigarette or sipped alcohol, or done any drugs in my life, but I do know how addiction can ruin one’s life. My father was a heavy drinker and a chain smoker who lost his life when he was 42 years of age. Any form of addiction can overtake you physically, mentally, and also emotionally.

7. Eat healthy food.
For the past few months, I’d been munching on a lot of junk food, which included chocolates and sweets, high-sugared coffee, cold drinks, fries, and chips. At the time, I didn’t realize what it was doing to my energy level because I was just savoring every bite of it. But now that I’ve curtailed the consumption of it to almost minimum to nothing, I see a noticeable rise in my energy levels.
I’ve started eating freshly cooked homemade food a lot, which includes leafy vegetables such as fenugreek and spinach. I’ve also been eating sprouts, legumes, lentils, and lots of eggs (either shallow-fried or boiled). I also eat fresh fruits such as apples, bananas, and oranges.
I eat in moderation, only as much as I need; I’ve given up on overeating. So, cut down on your intake of junk and high-sugared food, and you’ll too notice some rise in your energy levels within a few days. Oh yes! I’m speaking from experience here.
Try to include eggs, milk, fresh fruits, leafy vegetables, sprouts, or any low-carb, shallow-fried food you like. Strictly avoid overeating sweets, chocolates, and deep-fried food.
Please read my article based on my personal experience Health Is Wealth – It Has To Be Prioritized, where I talk about the importance of health in our life.
8. Make yourself a health drink.
I did a lot of research on the internet and came across some natural ingredients such as fenugreek powder and Triphala powder. I also came across Food-Safety-and-Standard’s approved health drink powders, such as Bournvita and Complan. I decided to go with Complan because it was my childhood-favorite drink that my Ma would make me drink with milk.
So, I made myself a healthy drink, and here’s how I made it – I took one cup of milk (cow or buffalo), added 1 teaspoon of fenugreek powder, and 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder to it. I boiled the mixture, strained it with a strainer into a cup, and let it cool down until it became lukewarm.
And then, I added 1 tablespoon of Complan powder to it (I didn’t add any extra sugar or sweeteners, and you shouldn’t either because it already contains sugar). I started consuming this drink daily in the morning before breakfast. I didn’t notice any rise in my energy immediately when I started drinking it, but I did notice a significant decrease in my fatigue within 3-4 days.
Now it’s been two weeks that I’ve been consuming this drink, and I honestly feel energized throughout the day. Thankfully, by the grace of my Ma and God, I don’t have blood pressure, blood sugar level, or cholesterol issues. And as I mentioned, I don’t smoke or consume alcohol either, so I don’t have any adverse effects from this drink. My digestion has improved too.
I’m not a medical professional, so I’d recommend you get your health checkup done before trying any self-made health drink. Once you get a green signal for your health from your physician or dietician, you can go ahead with his drink, but drink it in moderation only once a day.
Also, avoid drinking coffee if it’s your favorite drink. I tried coffee for a few days, and it would give me an instant energy boost, but after a few hours, I would feel low again. And on top of this, coffee made me sleepless. So, I avoid coffee.
9. Don’t forget to pray.
Lately, I’ve been praying a lot to the Creator of the Universe for all the blessings He has bestowed upon me. I ask the Creator for the energy of His universe to keep flowing through me because I believe the Creator has made us all from His abundant celestial energy. Sometimes we stray from the Creator and get lost in this materialistic earthly world, which takes a toll on us, and we lose our energy and strength for life.
So, always look for the Creator’s energy by praying to Him in whatever form of faith you worship Him through.

There you have it — these are some of the things I’ve been doing daily to maintain my overall (physical, mental, and spiritual) strength and energy levels. I know exactly how it is when you feel low, it’s like your whole world comes to a standstill, and you become so incapacitated that you can’t even move an inch.
Voila! I’ve been able to finish this article now, and I can’t believe I have.

I wish you good health and a never-ending high-energy flow through your body, mind, and spirit.
